I'm not sure where the cheapest place is to get one, but look at the Colt SP6940 also. They're the exact same gun.

In stock is tough. I see Impact Guns has the SP6940 (same gun) in stock for $1359. You might want to shoot Grant at G and R Tactical an email. He has some of the best prices you'll find on Colts but he currently shows the 6940 out of stock ($1240). It might be worth your while to wait if it's not too long. I have had really good luck with him.

Good luck.

I had seen not the LE6940 but the same exact carbine SP6940 without the law enforcement markings on it, the SP series have "Sporter M4 Carbine" and no caliber markings.

LE6940 models are discontinued and will be the new SP6940, there are also the last 100 production LE carbines edition with included Colt letter at a higher prices at have the SP6940 on sale for only $1,289.00, other distributors like and have the LE marked version for $1,359.
Colt AR-15 carbine X4, Colt MT6601 with USGI M16A2 Colt upper half 20" rifle, RRA A4 9mm 16" carbine, Steyr AUG A1 16" carbine, IMI Galil AR 16" carbine, PolyTech AKS-762 X3, Chinese SKS and USGI DCM M1 Garand, Colt 1911 Gov't Model X3, Colt Officers Lightweight, HK USP full, Sig P220 .45, Sig P226 9mm & Glock 19

The low end is about $1199 for them thru a few Police Supply places, but you have to be current or retired LEO/Military.

Kislers, LAarmory, a few others. IMHO $1300-1400 is a good price or them. If that to much maybe look for used.

IIRC Buds LEO side has them on sale.
