Night Sights for a Rock Island?

I just bought a tactical, Government Rock Island Armory 1911. This is my first 1911, but I have wanted one for years. As I said, it is the tactical model and the sights appear to be removable. I really want to get a set of Trijicon night sights. I have a set of Trijicons on my Springfield XD that I carry at work, and absolutely love my night sights. I've only been able to find sets that say they fit a Colt or a Smith & Wesson. My question is, which sights do I need to get? I'm planning on having them installed by a gunsmith, just to be on the safe side. Any tips?

Night Sights on RIA

I just had night sights installed on my RIA tactical two tone.

I used a novak "ghost ring" style rear sight with a single tritium insert. The dovetail fit perfectly.

The front sight was also a novak tritium sight, but the gunsmith said the dovetail was not exactly right for the RIA so he altered the sight to fit. It fits fine and your's should too, but I recommend that you follow through with the gunsmith installation.

Try calling Novak to get the proper sights if you're unsure.

Gook luck.

Unfortunately I've got the M1911A1 parkerized model and it looks like you'd have to machine the sights out in order to install new ones. But what do I know, I'm not a gunsmith.
