My question is I want to order grips but there are 2 choices.Taurus full size w amb.safety cut and magwell. The other is the same but worded beveled bottom. Is the magwell needed if I have wilson combat mags? And purpose of beveled bottom? I want to order the right one the first time, hate sending stuff back,a real pain!!

Beveled bottom if you don't have a magwell.

"unbeveled" bottom means it will blend into the magwell better, and finish the look better.

You don't need a magwell to run your wilson combat mags.... Or any mags for that matter.

Basicly, if you DON'T have a magwell, get the bevelled one.

From what I hear, wilson makes a good mag. If your going to spend the money though, I'd get the 8 rounders with all the different baseplates. I think they are called elite tactical. They are around $30 at most local places.

I ended up picking up 3 mags from a local gun shop- out of their "junk" bin... found me an original colt mag identical to the one that came with my 1991A1, and two Kimber mags- all looked brand new! So i didn't bother with the wilson mag.
