Taurus 1911 compact?

I want a Taurus 1911, but I want a 4" barrel. Has anyone heard anything from Taurus regarding a compact or sub-compact 1911??

Taurus said they would have a CCO size gun out the next year after the initial year introduction of the Government size gun.

Years later they still have nothing.

I have heard nothing, but perhaps they are selling the heck out of their current models and trying to keep up with orders for them. I would think there will be one "down the road", but when is a good question.
