Sig MK 25

Can anyone tell me what a Sig MK25 is? It has an anchor image on the slide.

Nevermind.....I found what I needed to know.

Its an excellent full size service handgun. Carried one for about six months as a support guy.

Mk is a Navy thing and if there is an improvement it would be something like Mk25Mod1.

Anyway its a great gun. Before that it was just the P226 Navy which had no rail.

The Mk25 has a 1913 Rail on it.

Both guns have special finished internals to resist corrosion.

Love mine over 400 rounds and no failures. Would love to find a .22 version.

They used to make a slide conversion for the sigs. P226 included. Factory part.

I heard that but the places I looked said they were discontinued. Not sure why, problems or not enough profit margin.. Still have an Ace Service model to shoot.
