Sig Sauer P229 357 Sig extended Magazines.

Good afternoon all,

Just purchased a new Sig Sauer P229 in 357 Sig. I’ve been searching for some extended magazines for it, somewhere in 15 round capacity range. I found a few after market magazines, I was hoping for some Sig made extended magazines, but appears they don’t make those for the 229? I’m always hesitant with aftermarket magazines, due to quality control.

With that long preamble, can anyone suggest a decent mag that fits the description I’m looking for? Thank you for any suggestions.

Also my apologies if in the wrong forum index, I did do some searching to see if this topic has been covered, to no avail.

Mec-Gar makes a 14-round that is very reliable. They produce many of the factory magazines for SIG and many other brands.

Greg Cote is a great guy to buy from. No affiliation other than always being a satisfied customer.

Thank you for the suggestion, I’ll definitely give it an order and see how it functions.

What the others say is true. Mec-gar is oe for sig sauer. Or was oe for sig sauer. I too have delt with Greg Cote. They are a great company. Mec-gar mags are very good quality. And cheaper than oe.
