No, because I live in the humid south and my gun would literally be drenched in sweat. I have a self-propelled push mower that I use to cut about a half acre. I rarely use the self-propelled function in order to turn the task into a work-out. Resultantly, I'm soaked during and after cutting. However, when mowing, I do hide a gun in my garage where I can quickly get to it if needed.

Always ... P238 in the pocket. Small enough that it doesn’t bother me while working in the yard. BTW, that dude wasn’t moving too fast to get back into his car.

Sometimes I do.

But I always have guns close at hand. Funny thing happened one time a few of years ago. I had a pretty good sized Oak that was clearly dead. I wanted it for firewood. However it was locked in close enough to some other trees. That there was no safe place to stand and be able to bring a chainsaw to bear on it.

So I took one of my Ohio Ordinance works VZ-2000s and attempted to cut the tree down with that. After about six thirty round magazines emptied into it failed to even crack it, I gave up. a few years later that tree is still standing.

Yes anytime I go out the door I carry even to cross the street to check the mail. I've had a pitbull charge at me in my front yard and pulled my weapon, luckily he retreated.

Sure, if I'm outside, I'm armed.

I never understood the "I live in the south thing " I spent my first 42 years in sw fl hunted in the swamps and in the rain , carried in a front pocket while at work building homes . Had several pocket carry holsters rot but never dealt with rust . Had 2.5 of 5 acres down there to maintain down south and now four acres in NC and I still also have a handgun on me when I leave the house .

I live in rural Texas, on a cattle ranch. I never leave the house for any reason without, at least, a handgun. Usually one of my 1911s, loaded with 240 gr. cast Keith style SWCs over a stiff load of Alliant Blue Dot for feral hog control and/or a S&W 638 loaded with Speer/CCI shot cartridges in the first 2 chambers and Fed. 130 gr. HSTs in the following 3 chambers.

I mow about 2 acres, around the house with a zero turn mower. I also mow many acres, 3-4 times/year with my tractor and brush hog.

I never bother non poisonous snakes but we have all 4 varieties of poisonous snakes here, in relative abundance, so I shoot them, especially near the house/yard.

If I'm out of bed and wearing pants, then the Smith 442 is always in the pocket.

I cut about 4.5 acres every week.
Ive wanted to mount a shotgun carrier or pistol holster on my zero turn mower just for that potential special occasion where you might need it, only to realize your 870 is in the kitchen. The mower manufacturers should offer it as an option...
The annoying Jehovah witnesses might stay away too...

The post office needs to think about having the jehovah witnesses deliver the mail. They go to every house on the block so why not.

Oh hell yes. I live in Stockton. I carry when I walk to the mail box. (There is also a significant 4 legged threat with feral dogs in my area.)

Yeah, it's paranoia. Because no one's ever been attacked or assaulted or had predators in their yard.
