New CZ 75 PO1 Cajun Gun Works style

This beautiful little piece looks stock, but is a sleeper. The plate rack at 15yds didn't stand a chance. The trigger is simply amazing and the FO sights are so easy for these 47y/o eyes to see. CGW is the king of all things CZ and has made a believer out of me.

That is a nice looking P-01. They are great pistols. What did you get done and what is CGW's turnaround time?

That's on my list, but a DW Eco in 9mm won out this month.

Congrats!!! CZs are excellent pistols. And as for CGW.... well, can't say enough good things about them!!!!

By the way, if you've considered changing grip panels, I highly recommend LOK Grips. He makes excellent G-10 panels for the CZs. In particular, if you have larger hands, his 'palm-swell bogies' are just plain awesome. Talk about hand-filling!!!

That's a sharp P-01...Congrats on the purchase...I'm headed to Monroe in a couple of months and plan on setting up a visit to CGW to have them run through my SP-01 suppressor ready tactical in urban grey. I love the gun, but like any reasonably priced weapon, it could use a little trigger work...If it was a 1911 I would do it myself, but this is my first CZ, and I really want to see what CGW is all about.

What kit did you have installed???

I have an SP01 and am trying to decide on which CGW kit to buy.

And in the meantime....I ordered a Target Sport Orange........

You will love it, it's a Czechmate without the optics package in every way.

nice guns, for sure. That is the same gun I had stolen from my home by a remodel worker several years ago. Reported to police, it has not turned up yet.

My P-01 is my favorite pistol. Just had Cajun install larger sights and it made a huge difference. Great pistol! Enjoy yours.

I've got an SP-01 and to say I'm impressed with its performance is putting it mildly. The P-01 is a nice piece of work and if it's as accurate as the SP-01, my savings account can anticipate another withdrawal soon.

(If OP posts target pics it would be greatly appreciated)

I have a couple CZs with my most recent being a P-01 Omega. I didn't go CGW, but I did put a 14# main spring in it and swap the magazine release (I'm a lefty). I've heard nothing but good about Cajun Gun Works. Enjoy!

I have an SP 01 and a 75B in .40, I have both done with Pro Packages from CGW. Amazing in the difference and they are great to do business with.

Thanks for the kind words guys. This is very lightly modded, but the mods greatly improved the gun. This is what was done.

CZ 85 trigger
Ultra-lite self Defense FP block
SS guide rod
SS trigger pin
Tempered steel Firing Pin retaining Pin
Reduced Power Trigger Return Spring
FO Front Sight, OEM Rear blacked out
OEM Compact Flat Hammer Spring Plug
Lanyard Loop removed

Much as I hate to admit it, I haven't shot my 1911's since buying a CZ-75 compact last year. This year's purchase fund may just be spent on it at CGW!

That's a great looking P01! I had one back about 5 years ago when I was looking for a gun to buy for my daughter. That one was stock and had an absolutely horrendous and terribly gritty trigger pull that felt like 10 lbs on D/A! I got rid of it. But, it did feel really good in my hand like a 1911 or my CZ 75B. I might just have to get another one, if they can correct that crappy trigger pull and add night sights.

After seeing the pictures here and reading about it on the 'net, I thought I wanted a P-01 so I went to my LGS and sure enough they didn't have any. One of the clerks called me over and said if I wanted to handle a P-01, try his. He unholstered and cleared the pistol, handing it to me and of course I cleared it as well.

Well. Talk about raising the eyebrows: you can see the resemblance to the SP-01, but you can tell this is different. Lighter thanks to the alloy frame, but really intriguing. (side note: all the clerk had done was put on night sights; trigger still stock.)

I gave the clerk his gun and thanked him for letting me handle it. He asked if I wanted one and I said no, I don't want one: I need one.

Now I'm on the list. When they come in, I get a call.
