Somehow, I don't see any of our left leaning leaders agreeing with any part of this.
They're trying too da*n hard to DIS-ARM us, including trying to get the UN involved.
But an interesting read no the less.

The fellow in question making these comments was born in New Jersey. Remember that Interpol is made up of LEO of many nationalities. His comment is not indicative of attitudes in France, England, Spain, Estonia, or anywhere else for that matter.

It's something to be optimistic about. We know, in our country, the media seems to provide very little coverage of CHL holders preventing mass shootings. In Oregon there was a CHL holder, who easily prevented a shooting spree, while at a local mall. The CHL holder used his Glock 19. He didn't even have to fire a shot.

This type of thing might wake folks up. I have my doubts though. Too many people these days would rather build up concrete walls and hide behind men with uniforms and badges than trust their neighbor with a concealed pistol. And heaven forbid you suggest they take responsibility for their own safety and arm themselves.

I think it will be snowing hard in hell before most of the governments of the world allow their citizens access to firearms in my opinion. Also, when someone posts a link to something I wish they could at least provide a brief summary of what its about.

I only posted it because if Interpol is behind armed citizens, it helps our cause. This new breed of small cell terrorist requires it or we are screwed.

No, you did us a service posting that. It isn't much, but little strokes fell mighty oaks.

Given nearly 200 people were killed in Mumbai and 100s more wounded by 10 terrorists and now the Nairobi mall situation, it is apparent as to what he says. Don't forget Oslo either.

It would require Va Tech, Ft. Hood, Newtown, Aurora, Columbine, and Santa Monica Combined to add up to the smallest one of those.

"Societies have to think about how they're going to approach the problem," Noble said. "One is to say we want an armed citizenry; you can see the reason for that. Another is to say the enclaves are so secure that in order to get into the soft target you're going to have to pass through extraordinary security."

The media has an agenda to provide no coverage of any chl or ccp used to thwart a crime.
The agenda is to deny that it could ever happen. To deny that it has happened at all.

As to an "epidemic" of common sense. I don't think it's an epidemic. Just a slight twinge, which does occur from time to time, then part of the agenda is to deny it, etc.

Agreed.

Well, I can't argue with what you said, but it make the news. It just stays more on the local news networks.

One American born member perhaps. Don't forget that. Call me a cynic but I doubt he speaks for all of Interpol. Having someone there on our side does not hurt, it is true but I really don't give a damn about how the rest of the world feels about armed citizens. I was disgusted when Obama first ran and his key defenders and supporters final argument always seemed to be, "well the rest of the world likes him,". What they like, support, want or think does not matter. Screw world-wide sentiment and trying to change their minds. We are busy enough here, in these United States keeping our own gun grabbers at bay. The ability of the progressive hoplophobe to ignore all salient fact, all properly gathered data and replace it with skewed facts, fuzzy math, heartfelt sentiments, and outright lies ought to be well known by now. One article, quoting one man is hardly anything to be optimistic about.

We don't win by changing their minds. We are past that point. They are not rational thus we are past the point of trying to speak rationally. We vote them out, we legislate back, and we make them remember how horrible was the day they came for our rights. We take them to the courts and bury them with litigation. Then we take steps to educate our own, find new enthusiasts be they white, black, asian, male, female, straight, lesbian, gay, satanist, catholic, or scientologists, and we stand ready for when they come back. We make coming after the second amendment untenable rather than looking for an ally in interpol.

The guy is smart.

Liberals aren't. They are brain washed AND they think they are smarter than the average citizen. They really think taking our guns will make this world a safer place. Let me make this clear: We can have liberal and conservative discussions and disagreements, we can not agree on a many many things, I can still get along with you and even buy you a beer. But when someone tries to deny my Constitutional rights, by whatever method, this person is the ENEMY. There is really is no other way to see these people.

This guy would be my friend. Wake up people.
