So,, on a vid posted yesterday, Jerry hits a balloon at 1,000 yds.
Using a S&W 629 DX, with 300gr ammo.

Big Fan of Jerry, and he can still sling it with the Youngins on the PRO-circuit. I like watching him shoot pistol and 3 gun the most.

I am a fan of his. Watching him rapid fire monster big caliber handguns is a sight to behold. it is almost like one long booooooooom when he does it. He regularly has done handgun long range shooting. In some videos you can hear him fire and then wait, wait, wait, and then you hear a faint gong sound way off in the distance.

Ive met Jerry on several occasions. Very nice man. He's also quite the 3-gun competitor. Thats a heck of a shot to just hit the steel plate, witch is exactly what he did. He didn't hit the balloon. He was about 8-10 inches under it. Bullet splatter popped it.

That Dude is a machine. The only balloon I could see at 1000 yds would be a hot air balloon.

Went down the rabbit hole for a bit with all the related/unrelated video links.

I would not mind having that pistol.

Interesting that he noted the accuracy of the three hundred grain bullet. I have a Miroku Winchester chambered in .45 Colt. And I noticed way back when I got it that it really did well with the 300 grain Hornady XTP bullet on top of twenty grains of Winchester 296. It will flatline anything that roams around these parts for sure.

If he wasn't such a nice guy, one would think that he is a 'droid. Of course, maybe AI is further along than I thought.

Jerry's talents are almost otherworldly. If we didn't actually see what he can do, his capabilities would be beyond what many/most of us would believe possible.

I was fortunate enough to watch him perform at a local gun club here in Az. Even after watching him do these "tricks", I tell myself they can't be done. Amazing what he can do with a S&W 500 Mag, and a head of cabbage!!

Ha-ha,, I guess under those circumstances,, if that plate would've been an enemy soldier, Jerry's shot, instead of being "center mass" would have been a "gut shot", right,,.
Yeah,, his vids are always great,, when he makes a revolver sound like a machine gun is quite the skill.
I wonder how the S&Ws hold up to that kind of speed, the stars/hands/bolts, must take a real beating.

I have it from good authority that Jerry is not really human!
He has done some absolutely incredible things with guns and a very humble person.

Thank you Jerry

I never get tired of watching this. That first shot after his reload is unreal.

Wow! Btw, as he ages I hope he has a young understudy that he is teaching.

My favorite mechanic is 90+ years old & still wrenching. His knowledge of cars from the 1920's to the '70's rivals the Library Of Congress. When he passes that will be lost.

And I'll be both bummed and S.O.L, as a classic car dealer.

So if Jerry could even convey a portion of his technique to an eager, dedicated student his legacy could live on.
