Retirement pistol order

As this will be the year I retire from my computer software developer career, I decided to commemorate the event with will probably be the last one at this price point I will be able to afford, at least for some time. I have been working on finalizing the specs on this one since before the mini-Bash in late January, but had the order held for final decisions on specs. Without further ado, here are the specs as finalized on the order:

Professional reverse two-tone, stainless slide and small parts
Lightweight frame in black A/T with 25 lpi checkering
Comped .38 super
Slide top serrations 30 lpi, serrate rear of slide 40 lpi
Battlesight rear sight, white gold bead front sight (domed)
G50 on left side of slide behind rear cocking serrations, WC logo on other side
Wilson Combat on left dust cover, Professional on right dustcover
All lettering in Monotype Corsiva
Ball endmill cuts, and heavy chamfer on bottom of slide, bead blast with polished flats
RBMW
Countersunk slide stop with flattened pin
Concealment beavertail and hammer package
Medium trigger pad, set at 3.5 lbs. pull

This should be a really sweet retirement gift. If it is ready before the Bash in Berryville, I will bring it along.

Sounds great and Congrats on your upcoming retirement.

Being retired military myself I'm looking to my second and final job retirement in a few years myself.

Congrats, Roger...on your upcoming retirement and yet another fantastic WC build!

Selfishly, I hope it's ready in time for the bash so that I can see it in person

Thanks guys. I don't think there will be a problem having it before the Bash to be able to bring it with me. This will be my first Wilson with a comped barrel, my first with their 25 lpi checkering since the XTAC is what I've focused on so far (and is my favorite), and my first Wilson in .38 Super - considering the recent announcement, I suspect it will be my only Wilson .38 Super. I'm pretty excited to test out these "firsts" for me. I do have a full size .38 Super, but it is a Kimber and has sentimental value so it would never be sold. I love the cartridge, especially as a reloader, and have been working with reloading for it since 1974.

.38 is sick with a comp, my supergrade is the flattest shooting handgun I own by a decent margin. I'm sure it will handle amazingly for you and since you reload you can get it perfectly dead on calibrated

Just don’t let my daughter shoot it or she’ll be ordering yet another new Wilson.
