I just got one too. A company called VZ grips is your source.

These guns are awesome.

May I suggest a Crimson Trace LG-401 Laser Grip. I also just purchased a Kimber 1911 Custom LW and installed the Crimson Trace LG 401. It's the best grip laser sight you can buy @ $228.00

Congratulations on your new Kimber. Check Kimbers web. I was on it a few days ago & they had a nice set of wood grips.

Congratulations! Last week, I was about to purchase a Kimber Stainless LW myself for $660 but I ended up on a delay. So, while I “patiently” waited, I continued doing more research and shopping around. By the time I got cleared, I came across a Kimber Custom II TLE on sale at another store and decided to go with that for $160 more than the LW model. Like you, this is my first Kimber and I decided to go with Kimber rubber black tactical grips. Now I’m anxious to get to the range.

Great pick up. The TLE package is probably Kimbers best combination of features and price point. I was leery of Kimber at first, went ahead and bought one due to the first hand experiences of friends, and now have two great guns.

I have been wanting a LW in 9mm but have so far suppressed it ha ha.

Come on, KC, you know you want one, so just get one!

I have Kimber .45's in all three barrel/slide lengths. I enjoy them so much I duplicated each pistol in 9mm "just cuz". To say they are fun to shoot would be an understatement, and it's just kind of neat to have the exact same 1911's in both calibers.

Example.....my two Ultra CDP's in .45 and 9mm:

Besides, the nine is cheaper to shoot....no small matter any more. Shoot more, spend less.....I like that.

I just picked up a TLE myself. It has been raining a couple of days and looks to be for a couple more. That gives my grips a chance to get here. I like the Hogue wrap around finger grips. Being not young my grip is not what it once was and they sure did improve my groups.

I'm running thin grips/bushings on four of my 1911's from Cool Hand....great G10 grips at reasonable prices.

I do like the Kimber Rosewood grips! But it's not intended for carry. KM
