I was playing around with my SVI and look what happened

Bought an older SVI earlier this year as I no longer owned any double stack 1911's. I looked ok but a little blah, so I decided to give it some character. Replaced the tritium front sight with a red FO, added a long flat trigger, media blasted the entire gun, and put on a new grip frame.

I think I like it.

They are nice guns. The only thing to consider is that they were built before SVI started making their own slides and are using Caspian slides. The only downside (and only if it is an issue for you) is that they do not have the interchangeable breechface.

Heck ya! Very nice.
I recall when some of these used beauties were offered. Smart buy.
I was soooo tempted. You are hurting me with these pix, you know.

Someone pointed out that it reminds them of Eddie Van Halen's guitar

I gotta agree

You got one of the Greene Co. guns! Did you refinish it? They were Armoloy'd when new, but yours looks more like traditional hard chrome. Looks great.
