If they (any manufacturer) would offer an ambi to those 10% as an order gun, at no extra charge, I think they'd win so much business that they would make up the cost plus a lot more.

Some MFR's will allow you to order with the ambi and fit it at n/c but you still have to buy the ambi.

Have you called SA and asked ? They are pretty good helping handicap-ed
and birth defected people out . Just kidding . I would call SA if I was lefty
and see what they will do though .

Not the OP but I found it on their dual website, here is the link. You can find it under week five and it looks like it'll be given away on Tuesday.

Maybe I will be that lucky SOB. I doubt it though. I've been voting on their site constantly and haven't won anything. Oh well, I still have my RO.

Anyone know what's going on with this Silent Operator model?

I haven't seen or heard anything on it.

I didn't on this one, as the gun itself isn't on my wish list. Last time I opted to buy a LW Champ Operator- which came with the ambi.

As an impulse buyer, being lefty is a true inconvenience!!

Makes sense it would be regular production. Hope they make it in black. All have probably seen threads where the $200 tax may go away. Then you are left with the cost of the can.... still $$ ouch.

I gotta have one! I'm something of a suppressor nut. I own "several" in various calibers. My suppressed .45 host is a threaded Sig Tac Ops.
I'd buy a "silent operator" in a heartbeat!

I don't have a 1911 with a threaded barrel. It looks pretty nice...this could be my first.
