Posting a magazine story

My oldest brother had his bear hunt photo'd and printed in a 2001 hunting magazine. Am I able (legally) to post his picture and article ?

In general, no, if it was ever copyrighted.

However you may contact the owner in this case the magazine and get permission.

It's best to contact them to be safe.

Copyright laws are explicit on the internet.

As jjfitch said. I have copied some description from the 2A New Only sub-forum, and it applies to the whole forum: "Do NOT reproduce copyrighted material (text, images, or otherwise) on the forum. Only links to the original source are allowed!"
