I saw one a week or so ago that I was very tempted on - a blued SG Commander XTAC. I already have my retirement pistol on order, so I had to resist heavily on picking up that SG. I'm a sucker for blued 1911's.

Not a Supergrade, but something I haven't seen in stock for a long time... a .38 Super Sentinel Professional

If their desirability has decreased nowadays do you think they'd be willing to trade for some toilet paper? Just a thought.

Still love the SGs. Not touting any big superiority over the superb WC base builds (after all, my favorite, most trusted carry 1911 is a Carry Comp), but to me there's still something special in knowing the SGs are built by the best pistolsmiths in Wilson's shop and without limitations on time. And there is evidence of this craftsmanship especially on the "inside".

My first SG, Turnbull blued, still looks perfect... although admittedly, it has had a very easy and extremely well-protected life.
