Covid19 threats

The sheriff of the next county over just posted a warning about folks in lab coats knocking on doors and asking to do virus tests as a ruse to get into your home. Additionally, many law enforcement locales have declared a “no arrest” policy.
While the government gets this virus thing sorted out, probably a good idea to see that you are aware of what’s going on around you, heighten your vigilance, and insure that whatever level of self defense preparedness you practice is ready to implement. We have no children in the house so the doors stay locked, guns are readily available and I just put extra mags with each of them. EDC includes in and around the house, vehicle gun is in a ready position until we park, etc.

Some rocket scientist shows up at my door in a lab coat.

Let it suffice to say that it will not likely go well for them.

Yeah... I saw the "no arrest" policy has been declared in several places.

What could possibly go wrong folks?

Just remember General Maddox' words of wisdom. "Be polite and professional to everyone you meet and have a plan to kill them."

No arrest. West Texas Law, fewer robes, more ropes. Save the trees, we’re gonna need them.

Right words, wrong general! Mattis, not Maddox. But your heart was in the right place.

I saw some SJW calling for the release of prison inmates because of the crowded conditions posed a risk of virus to prisoners. I also saw that an inmate at Rikers Island had the virus. It is a bad time to be in prison but I don't think they should just let them all out.

I don't think any white coats will come knocking where I am at but I can sure see that as a problem for the elderly in some neighborhoods.

Keep calm and stay safe, it will probably get worse before it gets better but it will get better.

Yeah, saw that BS about releasing inmates. Wouldn't make sense to just close off the jail and quarantine the whole place?!

Or it could be an opportunity to reduce Death Row?

I was reading recently where the rich were fleeing NYC for the countryside to go to their second homes by the beach or up North. But many communities are not welcoming them and even blocking the roads to keep them out. I can't blame the people for doing it either. You don't know how many NYC people are already infected, especially considering the population density of NYC. From the news so far it looks like half the city may already be infected.

I have family there and am worried about them. As far as I know, they are locked up tight inside and staying off the streets.

What makes me laugh is that you have areas where LE is possibly arresting people for violating stay at home orders yet they’re letting people out of the jails so COVID-19 doesn’t spread amongst inmates. Makes sense.
