That will never pass muster. It's an immediate First Amendment case.

Washington DC has always been a very cosmopolitan city.

I grew up there. The problem for us here is that the DC metropolitan area has grown so much over the years. That it has spilled over the river and Northern VA is now part of the DC metro area.

A lot of these people are coming from countries where civilian ownership of firearms has been heavily restricted for decades. The whole idea of an armed citizenry is anathema to their view of the world. These are the people that we have to reach. It bothers me that generally speaking everybody that I normally see at the range looks like me.

Yet the people in VA are still in denial, and believe that the Left just wants what is best for people. Sometimes I feel like the Roddy Piper "They Live" movie wasn't just fiction.

Aren't the leftists the ones saying that people shouldn't own guns unless they're insured and have taken training? And what are the two things they've been opposed to gun owners doing lately??? On one hand they say gun owners are incompetent idiots who shouldn't be trusted with guns, then they get scared when gun owners learn how to properly handle them and become as good or better than the cops. Hypocrites.

We need to be careful that we don't someday end up like some European countries where you can only own guns for hunting or registered bullseye target shooting. No tactical training, no IPSC and no shooting at anything shaped to resemble a human form.

Avoid the temptation to replace everything on your brand-new 1911 just to make it "better". Know what you're changing out and why. You may spend a lot of money fixing things that weren't broken to begin with. Shoot at least 500 rounds through it first, then decide what you don't like and want to improve. Regarding vintage 1911s, pre-1970 pistols are highly collectible in original, unaltered condition and should NEVER be refinished or modified as it completely ruins their monetary value.

I think that is the blueprint VAs democrat legislators are trying to install. Leading up to confiscation.

They are on a fast track and will be a template for Democrats in the future. When they take over the federal government again, they won't mess around either. Gun control legislation will be their priority. As they move further Left headed for socialism they know dissent is on the horizon and they want to shut that down as much as possible.

I keep reminding myself that there is always one thing that the idiot democrats are awfully good at------screwing something up.

Reflect on the 8 years of the Obama train wreck.....from Obama Care.... to a midnight drop off of a pallet of our $$$$$$ on a tarmac in Iran.....to deserter Beau Bergdahl getting a break he didn't deserve.....to Black Lives Matter.....to deadly VA medical care screw ups for us Vets.....to "you didn't build that!!!".....to "Boston cops acted stupidly".....and on and on and on and on-----and then this present-day fiasco of Shifty Adam Schiff , and his cast of dimocratic dummies, trying to impeach POTUS.

And now--------------------with the high number of firearms that are supposed to be in the hands of Americans, coupled with the existing firearm programs/agencies and supporting industries that go along with owning a gun----------------the dims are gonna all of a sudden swoop in and end it all???

I gotta admit, I'm pretty much a glass half empty kind of guy----but I seriously doubt these idiots have the talent to take gun ownership, as we know it, in a complete 180 degree turn in the opposite direction.

Activism?? Sure. Getting off our butts to stop this nonsense by whatever it takes if necessary? Sure. But taking my gun stash away from me right under my nose. and pulling some bullsh** move like making it impossible for me to buy a box of ammo?

Just like trying to stop people from buying a bottle of booze decades ago when Prohibition was a big deal.. It didn't work. You'll always be able to buy what "they" don't want you to have out of the trunk of someone's car, just like criminals do today.

Go ahead, Governor Northam in Richmond------kick the gun owners in Virginia in the a$$ and stand back and watch what happens. The 2A Sanctuary County deal growing across the country as we speak is the first shot across their bow------------------------

Bring it on.

RANT OVER (I've noticed it's easier to get REALLY pissed off at obvious bullsh** when you're fighting cancer).
