How's that California -- more specifically San Francisco -- gun-ban and gun-free zone working out for those who demanded it?

(Remark addressed only to those demanded such; utmost concern and sympathy for everyone else).

So I'm curious would it be possible for somebody to commandeer the facility and hit the 'delete' button on all their entire stored uploads/videos? Possible to basically wipe YouTube clean while they held the facility?

Reports claim it was a female shooter. The shooter was taken out. But that could be a first...

http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/l...403-story.html
Quote:
At least two people were reportedly struck by gunfire, according to a law enforcement source who was not authorized to speak publicly about the incident. The shooter was described as a woman. So far authorities do not believe this was an act of terrorism and appears instead to have been a case of domestic or workplace violence ó although the investigation has just begun.

How does one 'save' a video from YouTube? I've often wondered that too because sometimes you go to find one and it's gone?

Shooter is a "woman"? I find it hard to believe anything out of this state. Maybe it is true, but it is odd.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if an innocent woman was shot via ND on part of the police. Could be a CYA situation.

I suppose it could be done by someone with a moderately sophisticated home network with interlinked internet, television, and video to disk recording gear.

Unfortunately, things aren't that sophisticated at my home.

Couple of ways to do that. I often will copy a video using either method.

The first way is to use software like applian media catcher.

http://applian.com/replay-media-catcher/

The other way is much more involved and involves hardware, and involves multiple monitors and a computer with two HDMI outputs, and an HDMI recorder connected to between one of the outputs of the computer and the HDMI recorder.

Some copyrighted things won't record, but much of the youtube content doesn't have DRM that prevents the recorder from recording.

There are lots of HDMI recorders on the market these days.

... sounds like a "Me Too Movement" inspired shooting. We need to get that organization labeled as a domestic terrorist group.

Sounds like workplace violence.

Avoid the temptation to replace everything on your brand-new 1911 just to make it "better". Know what you're changing out and why. You may spend a lot of money fixing things that weren't broken to begin with. Shoot at least 500 rounds through it first, then decide what you don't like and want to improve. Regarding vintage 1911s, pre-1970 pistols are highly collectible in original, unaltered condition and should NEVER be refinished or modified as it completely ruins their monetary value.

But I have zero confidence it will be labeled as such; more likely it will be labeled as "gun violence" again.

More like domestic dispute settled at work me thinks. But if I head fully semi automatic one more time, I may explode.

Anywho time for us in CA to break out the astroglide as one can be assured our overlords will pass multiple new laws to ensure the lawfull are punished to the fullest extent.
