People Behind Saturday's Marches

Interesting to see some of the people behind Saturday's staged/organized marches:

"... Gabrielle Giffords ... worked with the owner of the New England Patriots, Robert Kraft, to use the N.F.L. franchise's plane to bring some people to the capital."

"Ben & Jerry's, the ice cream maker, paid for buses to shuttle demonstrators..."

And that is the main problem with "Democracy" (which the founding fathers absolutely hated). Get enough really stupid people together and they can accomplish anything. That's why we were given a Constitutional Republic that operates under the rule of law - not the current popular belief of the stupid people regardless of who they represent or how much money and power they control. You want to see true "Democracy"? Turn on CNN. It's there every day. Read the history of the Democratic Party and see what you think.

Apparently Uber the ride sharing business.

They have competition called Lift, at least if I got it correct. At any rate the Lift people were all apparently giving free rides to all of the agitators for the wannabe riot in DC this last weekend.

They are on my do not deal with list.

It's not requiring a subscription for me, but I'm on a pretty strong network today ... which might explain access differences. I think they (NYT) also have some automated limit on how many free views are permitted. And I've sometimes been blocked from viewing full-length nyt articles.

Apologies my friend for this link not working for you, especially as I've occasionally had similar experiences. Frustrating.

The quotes I posted give a pretty good overview ... Albeit not a substitute.
