Talking Armed Neighbors Catch Burglar in Act, Duct Tape him, Call Cops

Neighbors come in at the 40 sec mark, pointing their guns at the crook.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUKF2LTtrHk

The homeowner got an alert on his cell phone that there was motion in the house. So he sees the burglar on his cellphone via the internet connected video system, and calls his neighbors. They grab their guns, and a bunch of them go over nab the guy.

Nice to have dependable neighbors like that.

She said they confronted the burglar inside the home, and wrapped him in duct tape. Police showed up to find the suspect tied up, belly down on the floor. Vestal said that according to cops, the man had previously burglarized another home, and was wearing clothes he had stolen.

That is my kind of neighborhood. Looks like a great place to live with good neighbors like that there.

Anyone notice that in the adrenaline rush she walked right in front of the aimed pistol?

Certainly can be forgiven with the circumstances. I am quite impressed with her assertive, no fear manner and obvious knowledge of her pistol. If more women were like this woman, it would be a victory. I will continue training my daughter to have the same awareness.

A true friend and good neighbor would have brought a shovel.

Just sayin.

Harry-045 ---------- Funny, I was wondering the same thing. Not only did he arrive in a smock-like lab coat by abstractionist Jackson Pollack, but he then steals something that looks like a fireman's coat or a safety vest.

Yes, call the cops----------the Fashion Police!

As for the take-down, Bravo! Well done!

Neighbors hold and secure criminal trespasser with duct tape....

Do you mean "even better "if" she was holding a 1911?"

The woman in the video never showed or displayed a gun, and the left handed man in red was the only neighbor that I could see with a gun......

I am not sure of the state laws for the homeowner, but if the criminal did not have any of the homeowners possessions on his person when he was arrested, he might be subject to a criminal trespass charge instead of a burglary charge...just depends on the laws of that state.....

Good job and good neighbors....!

I hope they used Gorilla Duct tape. It will pull every hair out and some of the skin.

I sure hope the perp is white if they used Gorilla duct tape on him (didn't read the story), otherwise I'm sure the race card will be played. I can already hear idiots like Maxine Waters shrieking about this.

A couple of well placed bullets are cheaper than duct tape - then again, sadly, it was recorded so the scum lives on. To borrow a millennial retort - too bad, so sad!

Should have given him a going away present, so he would remember if he ever decided to do this again.
