How did you handle the polishing of the serrated slides. I have some tool marks I would love to get rid of.

Finished just duracoating my PT1911. While i had the gun apart, i replaced the plunger tube with one from nighthawk custom and the ejector with one from les baer. The color i used is extreme tactical black, very nice no gloss black on black that has a slightly rough finish to it which i like. I left the hammer and recoil spring plug stainless cause i like the way it looks, everything else is black. The grips were replaced with some new VZ alien grips. The internals were replaced by a smith with parts from wilson combat, the hammer and guide rod are also wilson. some of you may notice the right side thumb safety is missing. It is because they are not working with the new VZ grips, I am thinking about getting a single sided safety or grinding on the current one to make it work let me know what you think. thanks.

I swapped out the two-piece SS EGW magwell with a blued S&A model... much improvement. I'm planning on fitting a single-side safety eventually and a solid trigger as well.

Just got mine and it shoot like a dream. Very good gun and I am very happy that I sold my SigSauer P250 to get this gun. So far I have swapped out the stock MSH with magwell and replaced it with a unit from www.fusionfirearms.com. So far im loving the added grip in the back strap that it gives. Soon I hope to get some grips that will extend to the magwell, was wanting to use the Hogue finger groove but I dont think they extend that far. Hopefully this year I will be able to replace the hammer with a unit from Fusion and prob a short trigger too. Oh well heres some pics, oh and yes that is a Ruger logo on the holser. Its for the stainless MK 3 that is in the pics. Had it custom made from a guy online I met, he does good work.

Here is mine. Just put 1000 rounds through it. Haven't done much to it. Put a shok buff kit on it and got some WC mags, both for the ease of addition. Looking for a nice set of grips if anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear. Thanks!!

Here is mine about 100 rounds through it. Hornaday TAP is deadly accurate in this thing at 25 yards. I got the Heinie night sight should have it next week. Looking for a good custom grip I'm just worried about loosing some functionality with aftermarket grips with the stuff carved into them.

Ha i got the exact same holster. Dont you just love the iTac over Blackhawk! I find they are a better quality and they look a lot cleaner too.

I am thrilled with the holster, I haven't personally tried the blackhawk! but the Itac was a few bucks cheaper and this works so well I have no reason to try something else.

I wish you could adjust the position with the weapon holstered and they put a bit of a cut out at the top so I could clear the barrel faster in a "Oh crap, draw shoot" situation. But it is very low profile and my PT 1911 AR disappears under my hoodie sweater or under a loose shirt in the small of my back. There is a lot to be said for having a full length .45 handy and easily concealed. I'm not gonna say it is as light as my 3 inch XD9 but with 19 rounds of 9mm the carry weight isn't that much off. Don't get me wrong I love my XD but push come to shove when shot one matters I'll grab the 1911 any time. The gun just points so well for me and the vertical dot set up on the sites I get on target super fast.

Those stainless and black 1911 with the wood grips just look beautiful like works of art. But I like my gun in a form meet function sort of way, all business

Ya, I was looking at those and the Aliens. Both look real nice....thanks for the suggestion!!

Do you know if they are or can be fitted for the PT 1911? I sent the company an e mail and they haven't responded.

Here's mine with the Operators. They have the ambi-cut, but they didn't fit the Taurus ambi...

I put the Wilson Tactical TS on, which I planned on before the grips, and that cured it. I think they have special grips cut specifically for the PT ambi, which I didn't know when I ordered these.
