UTC or Gunsite

Considering my next Baer, with the TRS no longer available thinking about one of these. Intrested in your thought/opinions.

How much is the Gunsite name on the pistol worth to you?

Pretty sure they are the same price, or within a Jackson of each other

Basically the same gun, although the UTC has thin grips and checkered MSH, whereas the Gunsite has regular grips and a serrated MSH. Do you want the Gunsite branding or not is basically what it boils down to... that and Gunsite is actually $23 less than the UTC, probably because it only comes w/ 2 mags, while the UTC comes with three.

They are similar which was my thought, pretty sure I like the UTC better. But I do like firearms that they eventually quit making. Not that they are worth any more but they become kind of unique. Might give the Shooting USA a look as well.

A few of mine I just like because they are no longer made.....Sig P226 Blackwater Tactical, Ed Brown Molon Labe, Baer TRS Commanche.....Colt Python...lol

Thank you

Good call. I picked-up a couple of Colt Gunsite's last year from the Gunsite Pro Shop. While in town, I found a used TRS at a local shop. Couldn't justify spending another $1600 on top of the two Colt's I just bought, so I passed.

I went back a week later and it was still there. I couldn't let it go, so it came home with me. After all, they are discontinued.

I swapped out the grips for standard & added the ambi. I guess I just like gun school pistols.

Thanks!

Picked it up yesterday afternoon and was able to put 100 rounds through it. It's a sweet shooter!

Looks good. When I was at the Pro Shop they didn't have any in stock. Otherwise I would have been tempted to get one. Still might one day.

You wont regret it. I love my Gunsite pistol. I only have about 750 rounds through it so far, but it's definitely pretty sweet.

I’m torn between the Gunsite or the UTC. Monday one or the other is getting ordered just not sure which.

Then get both or flip a coin. There is not really much difference between the two other than a logo and grips.

I prefer the thin grips as found on my Baer TRS and on the UTC. My first TRS had the ubiquitous FCS. More recently, I found a mint TRS without the FCS and with the added bonus of the 1.5 guarantee. Snapped that up and sold the first one. One of my Colts came from the factory with the same grips as are on the UTC.

You are right! I have shot 558 rounds so far and not a single problem. This one is a lot tighter than my TRS I had years ago.
