This idiot gave them everything they need for a great story

I can't tell who the bigger idiot is, the homicidal man or the assault-cannon-fearing writer. I hate it when these articles list every firearm they find "stockpiled" at people's homes along with the "hundreds" of rounds of ammunition. God forbid they look in my home.

Do the "gungrabbers" really think I'm crazy because I don't want to be one of these people sitting under a table:

auh, I forgot what I was going to say.

Oh ya. hundreds, thousands, millions, I have definitely close to millions. If not in ammo in reloading components necessary to build as much.

It just irritates the heck out of me that they paint people with more than one weapon or more than ten rounds of ammo like some kind of homicidal-fantasy-having sociopaths. What's this world coming to?

Good God.
The idiocy amazes me.

Timely though as a friend sent me this today.

You may have heard on the news about a Southern California man who was put
under 72-hour psychiatric observation when it was found he owned 100 guns
and allegedly had 100,000 rounds of ammunition stored in his home. The house
also featured a secret escape tunnel.

By Southern California standards, someone owning 100,000 rounds is
considered "mentally unstable."

In Michigan, he'd be called "The last white guy still living in Detroit ."

In Arizona, he'd be called "an avid gun collector."

In Arkansas, he'd be called "a novice gun collector."

In Utah, he'd be called "moderately well prepared," but they'd probably
reserve judgment until they made sure that he had a corresponding quantity
of stored food."

In Kansas, he'd be "A guy down the road you would want to have for a
friend."

In Montana, he'd be called "The neighborhood 'Go-To' guy."

In Alabama, he'd be called "a likely gubernatorial candidate."

In Georgia, he'd be called "an eligible bachelor."

In North Carolina, Virginia, Mississippi, Tennesse , Kentucky and South
Carolina he would be called "a deer hunting buddy."

And in Texas he'd just be "Bubba, who's a little short on ammo."

I spoke to a man with over 1 million rounds once. I very nearly fell to my knees and said, "I am not worthy!" LOL

It's becoming like England. You should see how much the Brits freak out when a rusty old revolver and half-empty box of ammo is discovered in someone's home.

Regarding vintage 1911s, pre-1970 pistols are highly collectible in original, unaltered condition and should NEVER be refinished or modified as it completely ruins their monetary value.

"including a 9-millimeter handgun, a semi-automatic Sig Saur handgun". Must be some exotic weapon manufacturer Omitting the "e" must be the assault weapons division .

If I had "stockpiled" "hundreds of rounds" of ammo, I'd be out of ammo after the pistol matches this last weekend.

It'd blow some of these hysterical writer's minds that there are two guns I own that I've shot over 30k rounds of ammo through, each.

Some may look at this story as negative press...I believe its POSITIVE (in an abstract sort of way)!! This clearly proves that when a shooter goes into a place where his intended victims ALSO HAVE GUNS...he gets stopped almost immediately!!

If just one or two of the victims at Virginia Tech would have had a handgun (and proper training/practice), it would have been a VERY different outcome. I know if any one of US would have been there with our weapons and a clear shot at "Sum-Ting-Wong" (or whatever his name was), we would have popped him a new asshole right in his forehead (or died trying)...and saved numerous lives!! Even a non-fatal wounding shot would have slowed him down and given his victims a chance to escape.

Granted, the inclusion of the items found in the shooters home was essentially unnecessary and sensationalized...but I expect that from the press. I'm sure the airline industry felt the same when CNN (and every other news organization) felt it necessary to run the missing Malaysian airliner story 24/7 non-stop for almost 10-days, with speculations from "terrorism" to total incompetence!!

Police said that after the shooting they found a cache of weapons at Yealu's home, including a 9-millimeter handgun, a semi-automatic Sig Saur handgun, an AR-15-style assault rifle, a 1960s SKS model assault rifle and a 12-gauge shotgun. Hundreds of rounds of ammunition were also found, police said.

A cache equals 5 weapons and a handful of ammunition?

Well he had to have known he wasn't going to make it out alive. And seeing as it was his aspiration to become an officer, it wouldn't surprise me seeing as he was willing to give up his dream.
