EDC X9 “Concealment”

I purchased my (regular size) X9 with the intention of it being, exactly as the name implies; a concealment gun. In truth I never cared for the extended controls. So when the X9S came out, I was thrilled with the new concealment controls. I had been wanting to do a few things to my X9 so this was the perfect opportunity. OFF TO WILSON COMBAT IT WENT!
So here we have a regular sized X9 with Concealment slide stop, thumb safety and mag catch.
Also the entire gun received a Extreme Carry melt job. The entire lower is armor Tuff whereas the slide is DLC.
Overall I’m very pleased with the way this turned out.
I have said before that the X9 is the ultimate carry gun. Now it’s the UltimateR Carry Gun LoL

Very nice! Where'd those grips come from?

I'm still waiting on them to offer a comp for it, till then it doesn't perform as well as traditional guns. Your looks extremely fancy with the melt and grips though, making me regret my black barebones one!

How do you like the DLC, it looks a little bit grey in the pics. Trying to decide it I want a complete new build done in DLC.

The grips, where did they come from? Are they now an option, are they a ceracoat?

Very nice!

My X9 has been my EDC for only 3 months now and I can't say I see a need for any upgrades, though the melt looks great!

Interested to hear how the DLC holds up

Very nice looking X9 !!!

Everything about it looks super. I'm really digging the grips, too.

I was told not to expect mine until the end of June....seeing yours is going to make that wait even longer.

They look like a set off the 40th Anniversary gun.

Yes, that’s where we’ve seen them before.

I love the carry melt and have it on this pistol. After seeing this thread, now I am wanting to switch over to the "concealment" controls.

It really makes a difference. Mine just came back from Wilson with the X9S thumb safety and slide release.

Since you intend on carrying it daily, let us know how the WC DLC holds up. The ArmorTuff is rather disappointing to me the last few years for durability.

I was really hoping to have the entire gun DLCed

If this round of armor Tuff wears as poorly as the first I may have the entire lower NP3 plated

Are you left handed? Else I can't see why one would reduce the size of parts that are covered by the holster.

Other than looking nice, which that mod certainly does!

Just got it back again down WC (they forgot to flush cut the slide stop pin) but now it’s exactly how I have wanted it.

The slide stop was a no brainer, I shoot with a support thumb forward grip and would occasionally engage the slide stop. On the thumb safety I’ve always preferred a lower profile and after shooting my X9S I realized I preferred that thumb safety. I am a right hand shooter also, I’ve never had a issue with either a thumb safety or slide release poking me while carrying just prefer the low profile for shooting.
