FEG PJK-9HP Sights

The FEG I have is the one with the ventilated rib. The sights are not so great. I was wondering if anyone has successfully replace the original sights? Any comments would be appreciated.

I believe many shops can mill the slide for dovetail sights. I did this to my FM Detective slide. While I used BHSS to add Meprolight BHP MKlll sights, Novaks and other well known shops also do it right and may have different sight options.

I've milled the vent rib off a couple and cut dovetails for sights. Not a hard job for a real smith or skilled amateur.

I put Novak’s on my FEG, made a huge difference.
Although I didn’t have the vent rib, I’m sure Novaks has the experience to pull it off.
Send them an email.

Not so long ago - I sold my pretty Ramped Feg for a decent price. They are somewhat rare & relatively valuable. IMO - a shame to CUT on.
You could sell it, & possibly buy a New Stainless Tisas BR9ss (with Novak TYPE Sights) - or another 2 FEGS.

Do No Harm.

I do not have the FEG, but an FN MKII Police trade in. Mine also had the rib and terrible sights. I purchased Novak night sights for the MKIII and had my local smith machine a new dovetail in the front and re-machine the rear dovetail to accept the new MKIII Novak sights. He also used a laser the identify the irregular top of the rib and milled it even. I am pleased and it didn't cost to much!

I was hoping for a simple sight replacement. Apparently it is not that straight forward. I appreciate all of the differing opinions and options. Thank you.

It took me a L-O-N-G time to find an FEG in good all original condition. What is the condition of your FEG? I ask because if its in good shape rather than mod it, like Crasig mentioned above a Tisas may be a better option leaving yours for someone like me who would rather have one all original:-)
