Please, don't let it be any Taylor pork roll.

OTOH, if it turns out to be an exceptionally good sammich...

I guess I should have said chorizo (since Taylor pork roll looks like a flat piece of bologna the last time I saw it).

DSF was probably just correcting me there, I'm sure.

The first mistake is thinking you can be friends with Liberals. They have their own set of opinions and facts and they are your friends until you disagree with their ideology.
Personally, I don't think I could dislike myself enough to wake up every morning and see a Liberal laying there.

Thanks, great research! Unfortunately, we have reached a point in our society where facts are irrelevant, it is all visceral. I am old enough to remember a time when we could debate a topic based on logical fact-based arguments, rather than attacking the other person.

kimberguy2004---------- it sounds like YOU have YOUR own set of opinions & facts..

And that YOU are not willing to be friends with a liberal.

Even though you may already be friends, or at least acquaintances, with liberals (and gays & illegals) without even knowing it.

Unless you grill everyone you meet on their politics, immigration status, & sexual preferences then walk away from half of them.

As Kids...

Then she proceeded to tell me how she cant wait for all guns to be banned so she can feel safe sending her kids off to school. Well, I let the comments slide...I was, after all, a guest in her home. But since she brought up "kids", and I happen to work at one of the finest pediatric hospitals in the nation, and out of the 20+ years working in pediatrics only seeing two GSW victims (both survived, neither was shot at school) I decided to do a bit of research on childhood deaths (and especially, school-related deaths). What I discovered was no real surprise to me, but I thought maybe sharing these stats with our members would be of some value in case they're ever put on the spot by an ignoramus like my buddy's wife.

Schools are, by far, the safest environment for children. That's a fact!

The death rate for children in their own home is 200X HIGHER than it is while they are at school.

More kids actually die playing football at school than die by GSW.

50X as many are murdered by THEIR OWN PARENTS!

Pit Bulls have killed more children than school shootings.

So far, in the first 7 months of 2019, there have been 3 deaths due to school shootings (3 children actually shot and killed while at school). 3 out of roughly 56,000,000 (K-12) students currently enrolled in the U.S.

Meanwhile:

5+ children have died playing school sports - no guns involved.

10 children have been killed by dogs (actual count) - no guns involved.

20+ children have drowned in water buckets - no guns involved.

30 children have died (so far) in hot cars: - no guns involved

50+ children have been killed just walking to and from school - mostly no guns involved.

100+ children have died in auto accidents involving alcohol - no guns involved.

100+ children have died in falls - no guns involved.

250+ children have been killed by their own parents - very few guns involved. Data shows mostly: striking, strangulation, starvation, drowning, suffocation, and cutting, rarely by using a gun.

500+ children have drowned - no guns involved.

2,000+ teens have died while texting and driving - no guns involved.

1,000+ children have committed suicide - guns are a small fraction here.

1,000+ children have died from drug use - no guns involved.

Do you know the leading cause of death in children?? Choking! Mostly food, toys and coins...especially those younger than 4 years of age.

So she wants to ban guns to "save lives". Do you know what would save more lives than banning guns, Ginger? Do you??

Banning Pit-Bulls. (not a fan of this idea...I have one)

Banning hot dogs. (ditto...I like em, especially at a sporting events)

Eliminating school sports. (NO WAY)

A device that would make it impossible to leave a child in a hot car. (YES!)

Banning texting while driving. (HELL YES!!)

Banning swimming pools. (Nooooo...I live in Texas)

Redesigning mop buckets. (Sure)

Breathalyzers in every vehicle. (meh - I don't drink anyway)

Protecting children from their own parents. (ABSOLUTELY).

School shootings are an awful thing...but for the true purpose of protecting our children (and not just political posturing), banning guns is at the BOTTOM of the list.
Hell, the stuff we did "without guns" was a wonder it did not kill us, jumping our bikes over creeks and shopping carts. Sword fights and setting stuff on fire including ourselves, it is a wonder we did not die from all of that. Very few kids die from GWS when compared to all the other ways to go. It is a shame she blames an inanimate object when it is the mentals and idiots killing each other or themselves. Nice of you not to tell het to STFU.
My wife hears that often and not just about firearms.
GP50, we will speak soon.

Would you ever have talked to her like that?

Iím guessing not because we donít do that.

Actually Iíve started acting like them, sadly itís easy and quite satisfying, wasted 30 years talking to the wind. NO MORE.

Let's put up a collection to buy him some training and a pistol.

The 2nd amendment is just a start. What will they take away after that?

my wife doesn't like guns so when we had are daughters I sold off all of my guns even my favorite Sig P220 which would be a maybe collectors item because it was the Browning BDA. 45 because on the slide it had Sig Sauer W. Germany and since theres no W. Germany anymore. So now I've started to get some guns back. I've got a Sig P220 full size, Sig P220R carry and a Springfield 1911 Range Officer Champion all in .45. Next one that's in my sights is a Springfield M1A.

I worked with a guy, who's wife was afraid of anything gun she made him detox shower in their garage after a range day before he could come in the house. One day while wife and kiddies were out spending the money he earned, he decided to clean his pistol in the kitchen. WOW, she came home early and found him putting his piece back together and called the police. She tried to get the Officers to arrest him, and when they would not, she filed for divorce the next day, and got him kicked out of the house 2 days later. His whole personality changed in a negative way with all the stress, and got fired six months later.

I have seen this over and over. Snare a guy then financially shackle him, and threaten him with never seeing the kids any more and these women have a meal ticket as long as they don't find a better "dude" somewhere.

Lost track of him after that and have always wondered how he is doing. So guys never, never give in to the marriage thing and give up your self respect, and autonomy. I got lucky and found a woman who does not interfere with who I am any more, found out long ago that I would walk out if she tried to control me. I afford her the same latitude. Been married 43 years.

I know what you are saying, but when I have a real conversation with a "democrat friend" we soon find out that they have a belief system very akin to a conservative, AND they have never really stopped to ponder their core beliefs. They will always say at first that they hate politics till I get them to see that core beliefs are not political and then their heads start spinning! Go figure!

What method are you using to sneak them into the house?
Donít forget to wash your hands after shooting either! Sheíll bust you for smelling like Hoppes and having spent powder all over your hands!

Had a conversation with a Liberal friend last night. This girl is out their. Green deal supporter, AOC lover, gun hater....you name it.

She proceeded to tell me that ANY small business that didn't offer health insurance, NEEDS to just go out of business. So I offered up the LGS where I work 6 hours a week. There's 7 of us who split up the hours during the week. Told her there was no way in hell that the owner could afford health insurance for 7 people. Again, she stated, "Well that's too bad....if he can't afford to, then he needs to go out of business!". So I kindly told her that she was out of touch with reality. At which point she called me an "Effing Moron". So I said goodnight and hung up.

Mind boggling.

Hoplophobe: A person who is afflicted with an irrational fear of firearms.
The woman is obviously deranged and fully indoctrinated by the Lefty propaganda machine. I feel bad for anyone dominated to the point where they have no rights in their own household, but people truly "make their own beds." I would surmise, the woman watches CNN and reads the NYT. Truth be known, Guns Save Lives.

Great info

It is near impossible to reason with the leftist media and their followers. Thanks for the great info, and can you please share your source? Don't take this wrong, but we would all look smarter if we had a great source to quote and if you have one then please share.
