Well he is right the problem isn't the guns and he makes some other obvious points, but what he doesn't seem to understand is the country is not ever going back to what it was and the reasons why. What I quoted below sounds great but the chances of it happening are literally zero at this point. I think most of us here have maintained our American values for the most part but the people who are on the verge of taking control of the country don't really care about those values and will eliminate them ASAP.

My proposal is a full-scale return to the American values of personal responsibility, self-reliance and accountability. Going in the other direction simply isn’t working. We already have 20,000+ laws trying to keep a lid on this. I’m afraid of what 30,000 will bring if we keep going.

The answer(s) that we all seek are not only simple, but are staring us right in the face. It’s going to require a lot of courage from a lot of people, but if each of us makes some sort of commitment to fill this character void that’s inflicting our society then we’ll slowly get that much closer over time.

We are a great nation. Always have been and always will be. The challenge ahead is nothing new, but is entirely up to each one of us if we’re willing to step up. New laws will accomplish nothing, but a renewed sense of who we are will.

Agree, that sort of mom 'n apple pie (which I basically agree with) is OK for us who want to post on the 1911 F just to pass the time and release frustration, but otherwise isn't going to solve anything because trying to change people's values is almost pointless with the Communist running the media .

Bucket 1: Gun violence the type of that in Chicago with mostly illegal gun's might be mitigated with severe incarceration and support of the police. If that doesn't work, send in the National Guard until all the thug's are locked up. Not likely to happen, but at least a higher probability then the proposal in the link.

Bucket 2: The other bucket, mass-shootings, is mostly crazy people, we have to find a way to separate Nutz from gun's without attacking the 2A which is the main thing preventing "Bucket 1" above from spreading out of the Liberal crap-hole cities to the entire country. This could happen in theory (to a high-degree), but not with the lefties really only using these mass-shooting's as an excuse to disarm good people.

In a nut shell anyway.
