They have updated followers for the gen 2's, might try them. I got a new -L and it did the same thing with one of the mags and the followers fix it.
The old ones have an O on them...

I ordered some that only fit the gen 2's. Hopefully some progress there. Thanks. In the mean time, I will keep shooting.

If anyone here has fired a "P" in .45ACP, am interested in your opinion as to reliability.

One of my employees has one and it works as good as mine in 9mm. They are outstanding guns and I think he has over two thousand rounds through his. I am not aware of any bobbles and spend a lot of time on the range and in the field with his unit. He uses it on SWAT/plainclothes operations.

Do not buy any 1st generation STI magazines. Stick with the 2nd generation and you will be fine. The 1st generation are finicky and need to be "tuned" in both 9mm and .45.

Thank you. I will be getting 5-mags w/ the P Duo I have on-order. Am assuming they no longer sell Gen-1 mags.

The reason I was asking is that someone messaged me here stating his agency went w/ the 9mm rather than .45 due to mag problems w/ the latter round. Am guessing they may have tested the Gen-1 mags. I will be sticking w/ the 10-round mags. Am waiting for a reply from him.

I was going to buy some STI magazines from an on-line gun source. They were such a deal, new and un-used. I then read about the difference between the first and second generation magazines. In the photos I could see that the magazines I was going to buy were first generation.

I managed to keep from being a good deal poorer! This time!

I tune my magazines and I can't really say I've had any problems with the 9mm Gen1's, that isn't the case with the 45 Gen1's they are horrible. Out of 70 some magazines, other than the Gen1 45s, the only 9 I had a problem with was a Gen2 that would constantly cause nosedives partly through but the new followers solved that.

My second gen mags offered no joy. The followers I bought were the same as the ones in the 2 gen mags I bought. I will keep shooting and experimenting. I will post results as they occur.

So, the only thing I hate about this pistol is it now makes me want the 5" Staccato P as well.

The STI bug is a bad thing to get bitten by. I have one and two ordered, one a five inch. Without exception any of the recent STI guns I have shot were outstanding examples of workmanship.

A number of my hard working employees carry STI guns and love them.

I am now saving for the rumored newest Staccato model.

Thanks. I ordered a holster and mag pouches from Black Point Tactical. The link is to the holster I ordered. They do have version without the leather wings but I wanted to try the wing version for the holster and pouches.

Duty holster wise Iím still waiting on Safariland to release theirs.

This is my first time with the leather wings and so far I like it. It hugs it closer to the body. I can’t get approval to carry it on duty since we issue weapons but I got the okay for off duty.

I just got off the phone with a safariland rep and she advised that R and D has not given them a launch date for a Staccato-P duty holster. She said she knows they are working on one but still no release date.

Whatís the consensus, Surefire 300 A or B mounting system. Most people I see has the A but the site says B is better for non-polymer rails

I like the B's over the A's when it comes to the Surefire X series lights. I have four X300U's two A's and two B's and two X400U's which use the same mounting system as the B's.

I've never had any issues with the A's but I just like the fact that I can tighten up the B's on the rail to my hearts content.

You can't go wrong with either version. Just make sure that if you order a kydex holster for the gun and light that you specify which light you have. That thumbscrew sticks out a little bit and if you get the wrong holster won't fit.

Well with big demand and only 60 guns made a day, 5 days a week.... Supply is not meeting demand. Bit big kudos to STI on focusing on quality not quantity!!!
