The Official "Waiting For Leather" Thread

We have polls and threads for everything, well its time for the impatient, I can't stand the anticipation, waiting for the mail man, wearing a hole in the floor, "I ordered my leather today and I want it yesterday!!!, thread.

Just a place for the impatient to kick the wall during the painful passage of time from when you order your leather, until you you see the mailman, UPS man, FedEx, ect. and tear it out of the packaging to get that first whiff of fresh virgin LEATHER!

Lets hear what you got coming, how long in purgatory and then the joy of the end of the journey.

I'm a waitin'. Searching holster sites, looking at other guys leather, trying to talk to my wife about it.

She knows (and cares) about as much about my gunleather as an old girlfriend did.

Our conversation, swear to above:

Her: What are those things? (pointing to uniformed duty belt)

Me: That's a magazine holder.

Her: How can you fit magazines in it? They don't let you read them at work do they?

Me: Are you serious? (Immediately search for new mother for potential kids.)

I'm fidgeting, looking at my gun, comparing other holsters, telling people about it, all the typical stuff. And I probably have another couple months to go!

I checked out a bunch of places, Dave's seemed to fit, his work looked really nice, he's a fellow right wing extremist (lol) and seemed like a really good guy.

I'm treating myself for a delayed promotion present.

I'm one of those wait on a Del Fatti order. I pretty much figure it will be here sometime and thats good enough for me. I actually have some of Matt's stuff that I use daily and based on that the wait isn't that bad. Hopefully later this summer but we will see.

I got lucky and was able to score a Milt Sparks VM II from Allan Yoast with no waiting(!) thanks to these forums.

Someone posted on the Ed Brown forum that Allan had just gotten a few in stock and I was able to get an email into him before they all ran out. Should be here today or tomorrow. Now, my Ed Brown... that's a different story!

I have a belt, CBS belt scabbard and mag pouch for my Detonics Combat Master on order with 5Shot. It;s been a while-- my order seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle during Mr. Ralston's move from Vancouver, WA to Spokane (hey, I work retail, it happens, no big deal). As a result, I don't believe my wait is representative. It'll come when it comes-- I have faith.

ETA: Did I mention the sharkskin?

Well, I was responding to another thread and wound up in Ken Null's website, thinking how I'd like a Super Speed Scabbard for my Kobra Carry.

I love Ken's work and NEEDED a new Null gun belt with the SSS.

Order date 3/22 for horsehide holster and gun belt in Cordovan. Waiting!

Waiting on a Milt Sparks 55BN for a railed, 5" 1911, ordered using my entire lunch hour calling in to place my order in Jan or Feb, should have it in time for my birthday in September...

I hate the wait, but if there's is a "best" holster maker, I'd have to go with Sparks for having the title so it's worth it to me.

I should have ordered two holsters when I ordered my VMII in June but I wanted to try something else for an OWB.
