Kerosene lamp/lantern trick

When you wick gets too short to reach the bottom of the fuel tank, take a new wick and paperclip (or safety pin) it to the bottom of the old wick. When the paperclip reaches the burner, remove it and now you have used all but 1-2 inches of the old wick.

You could also sew it, but this is easier.

Super ideas but I am lazy.

A 6’ roll from Amazon for about $6 would be my choice.

If you only have one lamp. And you will still throw away 4 inches.

I converted old antique wall oil lamps to candle lamps with the smoke bells.

this is in the bathroom. With pets these hanging on the walls are much safer plus they look awesome. Since these pics I lowered the brass bracket.
