Buying a gun right now will make your family and your home less safe, especially if you, like many panic buyers, are not trained in gun safety .
So, they could pay someone to tell them the same things that are in the owner's manual? I think there's some safety stuff in there between "do not eat" and "may contain lead."

Long ago you really could not tell the political leanings of lead TV news shows all that easily.
They really did manage to give a more balanced opinion.
Al that went away in the 1970s or so.

"Guns make your home less safe," Dr. Mark Hoofnagle, a trauma surgeon in St. Louis, told Salon. "If you have children in the house, it will certainly make you less safe."

I always laugh at this! Train them to use them and well, you have another person to take down the zombies coming to your house or to help feed your family!

80's, actually. It coincided with the arrival of CNN in 1980.

CNN was, in the beginning 10-15 years of its life, fairly neutral. It went off the rails sometime around 1995-2000. Why it happened I can't explain. Must've been a change at the very top.

The rest of the TV spectrum -- ABC, CBS, NBC one by one got bought out by Big Corporations. GE bought NBC, and so on.

You do what the guy who signs your check says to do. That's what happened to all their news departments.

It was gradual, insidious, and now, thankfully, the bias is being exposed big-time.
