Tactical-ish holster for Wilson EDC X9L

I am looking for a tactical(ish) duty holster for my Wilson EDC-X9L with light and optic. The catch is that I need it to be compatible with Safariland’s QLS system so I can easily switch it on my existing system.

I love the Safariland ALS/SLS system, and the suede lining which has proven to really protect my other guns’ finish well, but Safariland does not have such an option.

Garret Industries can make one but the holster they already made for my X9L didn’t turn out well. So, other options besides them would be great to know.

Thanks!

You're really looking for a holster for a unicorn. Have you tried one of Safariland's GLS holsters? They're not gun specific but made to fit a wide variety of guns with rails. Otherwise, maybe one of these will work...

I don’t know if it would work with the QLS system since it’s from Blackhawk but maybe check out their omnivore holster. The holster is fit for the light you use not the gun, so you could use any gun as long as you use the same light.

I’ve seen a few guys use it with their STI Staccato P DUO’s.

I spoke with Grey Man Solutions about this yesterday, they make a level 2 for the EDC X9L with a relatively quick turn around time, I plan to order on this week.

Can I ask what is wrong with your Garrett? They are making me an IWB now for the EDC X9L, I have one for my Hackathorn and love it.

I have several of their holsters for several of my guns and they have all been fine. For the X9L, however, the tall front post kept digging into the leather and shaving it off. I have suppressor height sights because of the optic. They told me that only a little bit of leather would be removed and not to worry about it. Well, week after week when I would take out the gun nightly I would have shavings of leather all over my front sight which annoyed me to no end. The removal of leather from the interior never seemed to end, and it would get all over the front of my gun. I just gave up on it. I was not interested in having them remake for this gun, which I am sure they would have done.

Thanks for the info! After doing quite a bit of searching I settled on GMS for this holster, too. QLS with Level 2 retention. Hope it works out!
