Mounted on my Retro Colt clone Model 604. So far I'm very pleased with it's performance.

Very cool, wags. I have one of the originals and yours looks like a dead ringer.

Avoid the temptation to replace everything on your brand-new 1911 just to make it "better". Know what you're changing out and why. You may spend a lot of money fixing things that weren't broken to begin with. Shoot at least 500 rounds through it first, then decide what you don't like and want to improve. Regarding vintage 1911s, pre-1970 pistols are highly collectible in original, unaltered condition and should NEVER be refinished or modified as it completely ruins their monetary value.

By no means am Eotech or Aimpoint, but I picked up a Lucid Gen 3 for 90 bones with the killflash and screw on 2x magnifier. It's big, it's chunky, but it really is a pretty nice rig for what I paid... certainly wouldn't cough up the NIB price of almost 200 (with the killflash and magnifier you'd be out almost 250, and at that point you're do close to a Holosun 507-512 or a Vortex UH-1, you would be stupid not to save up another 70-90 dollars) bones when I could buy a Romeo 5, Holosun, or PAA for less.

Will say I bought it for the novelty and it does hold zero when changing reticles which is cool, and I've been testing the auto shutoff and battery life with lithium AAAs. Never figured I'd buy an optic just for giggles but no complaints. It's on my budget 10.5 build and will likely stay there for the time being running the Eotech style reticle.
