New from North Texas

As with most I've been lurking and reading a few post here and there. Got a safe full of great toys but never owned a 1911 .............. until now.
Just had a birthday and the wife says to get what ever I wish for my birthday (since this is what she prefers as well, I must not buy her good gifts) anyway I just ordered a SA Range Officer Operator 45. My wife ROCKS!

Not sure what I've just started but by what I read I may have just taken on what could be a new addiction? Is there a 12 step program if I get in too deep on this 1911 deal?

Look forward to reading and learning. Let the fun begin!
(I got a feeling I'm gonna need another safe too?

Welcome on board.
I'm by no means an expert, I learn something new every day, but in the last 37 years I managed to acquire some experience with handguns so now I try to share what I learned.
I still practice shooting at least twice a week, SIG Sauers and USGI 1911s are my favourite guns.
To me this is one of the best gun forums among the several I belong to.

Shoot safe.
