Since people are unlikely to know what the hell you're talking about, here is a link:

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/ne...uld-do-1280579

Basically he just gave his support to Michael Bloomberg, either not realizing or not caring that he intends to take his .44 Magnum away.

Regarding vintage 1911s, pre-1970 pistols are highly collectible in original, unaltered condition and should NEVER be refinished or modified as it completely ruins their monetary value.

Unfortunately there are a lot of conservatives out there who don't seem too concerned about their gun rights. Plenty who go to church and oppose big government, excessive taxation, abortion and immigration reform, yet nonetheless agree that "nobody needs an assault rifle".

Clint has his own impressive protection detail so why does he care whether normal people can have guns?

A great many actors make their living in movies using firearms.
But are off screen are anti gun.

But my favorite story was that years back when Jane Fonda was married to Tom Haden she said in a interview that people should not own guns.
A few weeks later they have somebody break into their house at night and both Jane and Tom grab handguns and go after the guy.
I'm not sure what happen to the intruder, but the cops come and everything gets sorted out.
And a reporter asks Jane , I thought you said people should not own guns?
Her reply " That's for other people, not us"

Well that sure didn't make my day. I hate it but a mans got to know his limitations I just hope Mini Mike the little punk is feeling lucky. I guess we get to listen to Mini Mike nag, nag, nag from now to November when his luck runs out and then he best keep off the White House lawn.

Very disappointing, as Eastwood used to be a strong supporter.

I suspect that most of these actors, singers, bands, etc, are terrified of becoming hasbeens. So they adopt whatever ideology appeals to the upcoming generation. And that ideology is always progressive.

I wonder how much Lil Mike paid Clint or one of his foundations for his support. He’s an old man and easily persuaded. Seriously, how many are fooled by an email that says that “your bank account has been compromised. Please enter your info here to ensure your access to your funds.”

Say it ain't so!

I'll go with the senile theory also....

Or maybe it can be the lefties P/VP ticket: Mini-Mike and Crazy-Clint.:

He's made hundreds of millions from Hollywood.

Like Bruce Willis, they could both voice their opinion on 2A and walk off into the sunset...never to look back.

I wouldn't throw ol' Clint under the bus just yet. As I was trying to say earlier, a lot of generally pro-2A people end up supporting politicians who are anti-gun simply because it's not as an important issue for them as it is for the rest of us. Take a look at all the Iowa farmers who voted for their favorite Democrat candidates in the elections a few weeks ago even though most of them are gun owners. This forum is full of single-issue voters who only care about our gun rights, and we couldn't care less if a candidate is going to strip away our health care benefits and eliminate Social Security as long as they leave our guns alone. Others are willing to sacrifice their gun rights in return for the campaign promises that they agree with. It's a really tough choice these days.

Sounds like he got some extra vacation money from Bloomberg to endorse him.

This is exactly correct. If you're a hog producer or a soybean farmer.....Trump's tariffs broke one off deep up your backside. When your income went in the toilet because of those tariffs, when you hear of cuts to Medicare and Social Security in the presidents latest proposed budget.....and when nobody's coming to take the old Iver Johnson pump gun that's been standing in the kitchen corner for 3 decades, voting as a single issue 2A supporter ain't exactly the 1st thing on your mind.

I can't read his mind or psychoanalyze him, but...
He may not be in the Gun Culture, brandishing a gun full of blanks is just a part to play.
He SHOULD know, as a successful actor, that Mr Bloomberg wants his money. "The wealthy should pay their fair share."
The "progressives" don't want to control only guns, they want to control EVERYTHING.

Which would then seem strange that he's made a point of
visiting gun stores in the Atlanta area while making pictures
here.

He stopped and visited with the staffs and customers
of Chuck's Firearms in Atlanta's Buckhead neighborhood
and then a year later he spent a lot of time at Adventure
Outdoors in Smyrna/Marietta. Everyone was thrilled.

I doubt he was even thinking about any gun issues when
he commented on preferring Bloomberg.
