Alchemy 1911

Got to handle an Alchemy 1911 at LGS today. Really liked the very clean lines and the trigger was wonderful. Had a great feel. Was kind of hard making myself hand it back to him.

Anybody had any experience with them?

Yes....a coworker of mine had the Prime in 45 ACP. I can say....very nice...and every
bit as good as my Ed Brown Alpha.

My favorite 1911 ever. I’ve had Wilsons, Colts, DWs, Springfield Pros and Baers. The Prime is hands down the best I’ve shot.

A couple shots and my first target through it.

Why no A1 cuts behind the trigger?

Not needed. I don’t even notice the difference when shooting mine.

That looks very much like the one I handled ó with no name, which makes it look so clean. The one I saw, though, had a flat trigger, which I donít care for.

IIRC Rob was going after a more classic aesthetic.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I have #013 Prime, its my favorite pistol. I've had Ed Brown, Wilson, Les Baers, the ACW is the one I wouldn't get rid of. Rob has great customer service also, he changed a sight and took time to talk about which one would suit me best.

I would love to have one. How much do they cost for their entry level?

If I remember correctly from when I inquired last year about one, they quoted either $2600 or $2800. I cant find the email now, but I think I'm in the ballpark.

If I remember correctly it is about $3000. But that's real easy to find out. Go to their website and start your configuration. The website is setup to quote you based on whatever options you choose.

I’d contact George at migunslingers.com. I think he would be able to get in lower than direct. I bought mine there. He has a chrome Elite on there now.
