I've not had one in my hands, but I have read some good things. I have had my eye on the color case hardened one for some time!

I have seen and held one but not examined it in detail. Recently the company has also been making a Colt SAA clone. Standard Mfg. Is a subsidiary of Conneticut Shotgun, which has a reputation for manufacturing first class shotguns. I would assume these pistols would display similar quality.

I love mine. It is a smooth shooting and very well built 1911. I value mine far more than all my other 1911's.

SFC Rick,

Thank you for the input. What other 1911s do you have and how does it compare in terms of reliability.

other 1911's...Colt, Springfield, Cimarron, S&W E Series, Taurus. It is a rock solid performing 1911.

You will be amazed by it's flawless operation. Who better than Connecticut Shotgun factory personnel assembling precision made firearms?
