Why was the "Trump day of prayer" thread closed?

It would have likely faded away on its own as of today anyway but I'd like to understand why the "Trump Day of Prayer" thread was closed?

Anyone in our community should be cognizant of how Trump's success is our success, but I started out by outlining it anyway and the direct connection to the success of 2A.

And I certainly hope that no moderator has an issue with prayer in our community. (Not saying anyone has to believe in it or participate, but I believe it should not be censored if some want to speak of it, especially in the context of supporting a person who is so important to 2A and all our other C-Rights, and especially on a day designated as a "National-Prayer-Day" for that person).

What was the issue here?

Thanks,
C.A.

I'm not the one who closed the thread, but I'll offer my opinion. And, it's just my personal opinion, nothing "official". I think most of us here are a) Trump supporters and b) believe in prayer. But, this is a gun forum, and the Trump/prayer thread was not gun or 2A related. In general, we (staff) have low tolerance for non-gun/2A threads.

You are a Site Supporter, and Site Supporters have their own sub-forum where any issue can be discussed. It doesn't have to be gun or 2A related. That would have been the proper sub-forum for your Trump prayer thread. I realize it wouldn't get the wide spread visibility as in the 2A sub-forum, but it wouldn't have been closed either.

Again, this is just my take on the matter.

I didn't close it either, but every thread is supposed to be gun-related, even in the General forum.
Slack is usually cut when the topic is veterans, LEO, or other "patriotic" topics, but unless a Trump thread is about "praying he rescinds the Gun Control Act of 1934", it's not 2A- or gun-related.

Thanks for the view's folks...Exception's for Vet's, Leo's, and other patriot's, (all good) but not a head's up on praying for POTUS (on this rare national prayer day for him/country) who is taking all the attack's from every part of the swamp including the socialists? And the man who is our only major political bull-work for all our right's. I think he is just about the most patriotic person in America right now.

But anyway, just M.O.
