Cross-posting?

Today I started a thread that has aspects appropriate to both ‘Rimfire!’ and ‘Gunsmithing &Troubleshooting’. Created the thread on the former. Reviewed ‘Rules’ including ‘Forum Etiquette’ ... I thought my initial reading *years* ago included agreeing not to cross-post. But I’d really like to just put a very brief post in ‘Gunsmithing &Troubleshooting’ to refer to the ‘Rimfire!’ thread.

Copacetic?

TIA

Please do NOT cross-post and don't create a thread just to link to another sub-forum or thread either. Thanks for asking though.

Avoid the temptation to replace everything on your brand-new 1911 just to make it "better". Know what you're changing out and why. You may spend a lot of money fixing things that weren't broken to begin with. Shoot at least 500 rounds through it first, then decide what you don't like and want to improve. Regarding vintage 1911s, pre-1970 pistols are highly collectible in original, unaltered condition and should NEVER be refinished or modified as it completely ruins their monetary value.

Started getting some responses on the original thread ... AND even though I couldn’t find the -rule- not to cross-post, not cross-posting is what I remembered agreeing to do.

It's all good. Appreciate that you're willing to follow the rules. Not everyone here respects our Forum rules.
