This is my 1st RIA. I must admit I really like this 1911. I wanted as close to as I could find a version as originally produced, not just another clone w/all the bells&whistles. I do have a habit of changing out parts, but I believe i will leave this just as is with the exception of changing out the grips. Like something a little more substantial to hold onto while shooting. The back up is a SOG Flash II. Will post again when I add new grips, got my heart set on a set of Ajax Stag's.:

I thought about that one but ended up going with the tactical. It was only 50 dollars more so it wasnt a hard choice. What really sold me was the front sight is in a dovtail on mine. While I dont intend on changing it out anytime soon,I like that I am able to if I choose. I may change out the FLGR with a standard one though.

Changed the grips to these, Green Canvas Micarta w/edbrown allen head screws (blued). Next will add a Springco recoil reducer (SS) and that will be the extent of mods I want. I want to keep as much stock as I can with this one. The next one I purchase will be the build platform!
