Looking for first hand experience with Mantis training aid.

Ended up with an eye problem last year. Lost my dominant right eye.
Since, I've installed red dots on most of my firearms. I'm finding that it's taking me a long time to aquire the dot and line up my shot. Thinking the Mantis system might help me retrain myself.

Dry fire is a great tool.

The Mantis adds feedback that helps.

Go for it!

Mine is in daily use

15 min/day and you'll see near immediate improvement. The constant feedback really helps focus you on grip, trigger press, and follow through. I recently upgraded to the X10 from an X3 so I can work on holster draws and recoil mgt.

Save yourself some money in the long run and buy the X10 up front.

I'm also running a RMR on my M&P Compact for the same reason you converted to red dots.

Their tech support is also superior. My new X10 was mis-recording holster draws, recording shots before I cleared the holster. Sigh. The tech team had me send them diagnostics and they worked over a weekend to produce a custom profile for my account that now records my AIWB holster draws reliably. It's amazing how they can customize the software for each user, if needed.

I can't recommend the Mantis system or their support team highly enough. My only issue with the system is that even though there are lots of different drills, there's only 2 courses of fire, the Basic and Advanced Marksmanship Courses. I completed those in 2 weeks and found myself looking for more.

With disciplined use, the Mantis system will make an appreciable improvement in your shooting as it has mine.
