Johnnyego. The remodel they did for your delta is amazing. Good for you. I am sure you are very proud of it.

Thanks man! I am so happy with their work I have to control myself from plastering it all over the internet. And I am failing in that control. I like their work so much I've got two other Colts in their pipeline awaiting similar treatment. I love this gun more each time I use it, and I use it a lot. Never a misfeed or issue in USPSA or bowling pin, and it makes me happy every time I look at it, let alone shoot it. In terms of dollars-per-unit-joy, this may well have been the best material object I've ever purchased.

Picked this up on another board for a steal. Finish wear, inside and out. Mechanically sound internally. It has slide serrations on the top of the slide, but the rear sight has a wierd gap between the sight and the top of the rail.

Thoughts?

The slide was originally machined for an adjustable Novak ALM style rear sight. It appears that the previous owner has replaced the rear sight with a standard fixed sight which leaves the little flat just in front of the rear sight.

Cool, thanks for the info!

Next step is saving a few nickels to get an RMR installed and the whole gun refinished in melonite.

If Iím not mistaken thatís just the cerakote grey. Itís a great looking finish, buty GRP has double the round count, more hard usage and the nitride is definitely more durable. If you donít care about holster wear (and I donít) then go for it!

Got my first Nighthawk! I went with the GRP Recon with the one piece magwell, everlast recoil system, and custom engraved. I put 100 rounds through with zero malfunctions and it is the best 1911 I ever shot. And the customer service was amazing!!

Switched out to a flatwire spring that has a GI guide rod and plug after speaking to Bob Reeves. The best decision Iíve made so far with this pistol!
