Holster Recommendation

I will be shooting in a PPC league and was wondering what holster you guys would recommend for a Mil-Spec. I want something smooth with hardly any retention. Also mag holsters as well.

I have a Galco Yaqui (worn at 3:00 position on right hip) that has caused no finish wear that I can detect through very many draw/reholster cycles on any of my 1911 variants...(Colt 1991A1, P14, Colt Officer's ACP)

The pistol's slide/muzzle potrudes thru bottom of holster, fully/safely covers trigger guard, is secure (or a bit looser if retention screws backed out a little), yet pistol still draws easily...

No the absolute fastest of rigs compared to the true competition skeleton rigs, which you can hear click when pistols are placed into them, but fast enough for IPSC/IDPA use! (I'm not knowledgeable on th true competition rigs warn by Leatham, Jarret, et al, will defer to those that are)

I like the Safariland 010 Tactical Option. It is as fast as anything, but the gun actually goes IN it, rather than just sort of clipping onto it, as is the current fashion in the speed sports. Safariland also makes good belts and pouches.
If you're not shooting you should be moving. If you're not moving you should be reloading. If you're not shooting, moving, or reloading, you should be taping or picking brass. - Z.C.
