Why no .45 sales?

Quite often, 9mm ammo can be found "on sale". However, I never see .45 ammo on sale!? Anyone want to wade in on this?

I'd guess it's because much more 9mm is produced.

Try to find any ammo at this time. SG raised their prices by $100-120 per case & are constantly sold out.

I've had 45 scp bullets (not cartridges) on backorder from a manufacturer for quite a while. I did go by there recently to pick up a large number of 9mm projectiles.

Hammer of Thor doesn’t go on sale. Market dictates.

It is all marketing.

Like mag man said they make a lot of 9X19 ammo. Standard handgun round not only for NATO, but for about everybody body else as well. To include most of the world's police forces.

When they say that nine mil is on sale. What they really mean is that it is for sale at the going price which until recently has been really low. A couple of months ago you could find it all over for under two hundred bucks a thousand. Now it runs about a hundred bucks more.

Because those in the know have glommed it up...It has a way higher value as a SD caliber for those who can shoot it well so they grabbed it first.

I just got 1000 45 acp FMJ bullets from Precision Delta that I ordered just over a week ago. Most are already loaded.
I'm still waiting for the 2K 9mm bullets that I ordered from Roze Distribution that I ordered 3 weeks ago. I haven't heard a peep from them.

Roze (Zero) is where I drove to pick up the 9mm and where I have the 45acp on backorder. I ordered and received 9mm and 45acp approximately 4 months ago. But since then all their 45acp shows out of stock and so does a lot 9mm. I call occasionally to check on availability of 45acp and they always reply “soon”. Same reply when I went by to pick a few thousand 9mm. Hopefully my 45 order will be shipped soon.

I specifically ordered .356 9mm bullets, instead of the standard .355, since their website showed that they had lots of those in stock.

I haven't really looked. I've gotten out of .45. Sold my last gun earlier this year. I've been meaning to get around to selling off the ammo.

Have you tried looking at gunbot.net to search for .45 ammo?

Buy batteries before the hurricane. Never return home without improving your SITCON. Sorta like never put your vehicle away with less than 1/2 a tank.

The only “sales” come in the form of the Mega Pack Crap. UMC and WWB will put together volume boxes for a little saving, but not much. There are so many greenhorn, first time shooters with 9’s that they have to keep their base happy. Plus, the ebb and flow of the market, considering that much volume, dictates that sales will happen frequently. Unless there are riots...or Covid....or a Demoncrap president.....

Right now it's hard enough to find any 45 ACP for sale, much less on sale. The best deal I could find was at Bass Pro. 200 round box of WWB for $69.99 with free shipping. The problem with that deal tho is that I ordered it May 25th, then immediately start getting weekly emails apologizing for delayed shipping. Right now, the expected ship date is Jun26-Jul6.

I have a feeling they might end up cancelling the order after 60 days.

The time line is poor but the price is not out of line. Not great news but at least not highway robbery. Remember after a Sandy Hook, stuff was $1 per round.

All I gotta say is.... Thank God I bought a "few rounds" back when things were cool and the market was steady. Let's just say, I have a nice supply.

Funny how folks have had three years of fantastic availability and pricing......and yet we hear complaining. Newbs I get, they don’t know the history yet, but the rest??
