You go through conservative counties before you get to Charlottesville.

You could take the train.

In Culpeper county for years. And Warrenton, I can not even recognize the place anymore. I wonder how long it will be before they manage to get Clark brothers to shut down their range.

Looks like what we knew would happen is.
Reports are Coonman is going to have grandfathering and registration to SB-16 as compromise, which is no compromise at all.

This is actually worse than them going full retard, they will take some of the wind out of our sails as the FUDD's and the I gots mine already gun owners will probably be satisfied with grandfathering.

No compromises, we have seen where registration has led to in Cali and NY.

59 counties, cities, and other localities as of today.

Floyd county where I live will be taking up the resolution tonight. You know where I will be. They already had to move the hearing to the high school in order to accommodate the expected large turnout.

Well Coonman's "compromise" may serve to buy time until conservatives can retake control of the General Assembly and rescind these bills.

This is from an article on Northam's Compromise.

“I’m a supporter of the Second Amendment. I grew up hunting and fishing,” Northam told reporters Monday morning at an event unrelated to gun policy. “Really what we’re trying to do in Virginia… is we want to make our streets, our communities safer.”

In addition to the mostly symbolic gun sanctuary resolutions being passed by county boards, some local law enforcement officials in conservative jurisdictions have said they’ll resist new gun laws passed in Richmond that they deem an infringement on gun rights.

Northam suggested Monday that those fears are unfounded.

“I hear people out there saying that they don’t want law enforcement to enforce unconstitutional laws. Well we’re not going to propose or pass any unconstitutional laws,” Northam said. “So that’s something we should all agree on.”

I don't think that will happen. Demographics are against us and they have introduced bills, that will pass easily, to tighten their grip on the Commonwealth.

We would also have to have the Va GOP actually give a damn and want to fight.

The only way to protect the Second Amendment is to exercise it, openly and frequently.

I'm waiting to see who is willing to flaunt their freedom in a "sanctuary" county by going to a shooting range with their non-registered un-grandfathered AR15 and stand up unafraid with some press around to document the effectiveness of the "sanctuary".

Chesterfield county votes tonight.

The word in the street is that those commies are stacking the hearing room with their cronies, pederasts and other bought and paid for malcontents. Additionally that they have all of the speaker slots sewed up as well.

They will go as low as they have to.

The Second Amendment is NOT about hunting.

"The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed—where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once.“
Judge Alex Kozinski, dissenting in Silveira v. Lockyer.

Silveira v. Lockyer, 312 F.3d 1052 (9th Cir. 2002),[1] is a decision by the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruling that the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution did not guarantee individuals the right to bear arms.

I just came from the Floyd county board of supervisors meeting.

They have been handed a mandate. Going forward I am going to be looking at pushing for something like a militia ordinance like what Tazewell county came up with.

I bet you're probably right. It's a sad state of affairs. Hopefully these sheep wake up.
