How satisfied are you with your SW1911?
Five Stars to One Star, how do you feel about your SW1911? Post a comment with your vote.
I voted five stars. My SW1911 is the best handgun I have ever owned. Even with the original recall, S&W did everything they could to make sure I was satisfied, including a FREE Wilson mag.

I feel the same way. I've been wanting to purchase an Sc, but now that they are on dealer's shelves I'm completely out of "gun money'. Hopefully I can raise a few dollars in the next few months. I'll be suffering withdrawl if not.

I do like mine overall except for the Novack Sights and the way they are fitted to the slide. I once read it was so S&W's adjustable sights would fit like on their duty pistols. Now that they are putting adjustables on their 1911s' they are a the Bo-Mar or maybe a copy of it. Maybe at one time they were going for the old "Devel" look. Anyway I do prefer the Heinie Sights and did like how they looked in Dick Metcalf's article on the S&W 1911.

The only things I wish they'd have done differently on my PC are the mag well which should have been blended and I'd rather it was hard chromed. Two items I can resolve myself in time. Well, I also question the need for an ambi. but all in all a beautiful piece of work. Fit and finish is work of art.

I would buy it again. Can do with out all the warnings printed on the sides, and a blued trigger. But I am happy with the pistol.

I owned one of the low #s that was recalled, nothing wrong with the gun it was flawless, traded it instead of returned for fix....(can we say stupid?) well then i thought i needed a kimber (if they function i guess there ok) so the kimber and smith were traded for a Wilson CQC...well damn that was a nice gun but.........i never found the charm in it and it was no more accurate than my old 1911 smith so in the end i have the new SC smith and i am delighted...wish this had been there first one and i may have saved a $ or 2 playing gun trades

S&W 1911 Poll

I bought an adjustable sight Stainless Steel S&W in June of this year, very satisified, would buy again without second thought. Runs like a top, very accurate with Winchester 230 grain Hollowpoint.

I can only compare it to my Kimber Tactical Custom, Smith beats Kimber hands down, in function and accuracy.

Really beats the old Colt Commander I had in 1980's.

I would like to see Smith & Wesson make an comeback now that ownership is back in American hands.

To whoever voted "junk". Post some comments on what you did not like. Otherwise, I will asume you are a disgrunteled RIA owner who ment to vote: "Total junk! Should have bought a SW1911" but voted on the wrong poll.
