Question about an SW 1911

I just got back from getting mine, but it only came with one Wilson Combat magazine. When I asked where the second one is I got a blank stare and was told they only come with one. Did Smith & Wesson change their mind and send me just a single magazine, or did someone between help themselves to my magazine after it left the factory? In any event, here is a pic of my second 1911

It should have come with 2, you might want to give S&W a call and tell them your dealer hosed you on the 2nd magazine, they might send you one.

I fugured it should have come with 2

Especially since Smith & Wesson says as much on their web site. I'm not so sure it's the dealer though. Could have been their distributor.

Yeah, somewhere in the chain the mag got lifted. I've seen it done at a local shop by the employees, they'll pocket anything if you don't know better.

In any case, S&W customer service is top notch and I think there's a good chance they'll send you one for free.

thearmedrebel,
glad to here S&W is taking care of you. You will find that they have the BEST customer service in the industry right now.
and BTW, I think it was someone at the dealer who took your mag. IIRC, All of the plastic cases are sealed when they leave the factory and are not opened untill they reach the dealer and they open them. This is common practice with many manufacturers. When I bought my Glock G19, it was sealed from the factory and I cut the seal at the dealer when I bought it. The seal is the white sticker with the model # and Ser# on it. Maybe someone who is a dealer can confirm.
