I found a Caspian .45

In a local shop asking 700.00 in stainless. Is this a fair price or should I walk away?

By far my best gun. Eats anything, puts it in one hole (or at least I've seen it do it in better hands than mine!). Gunsmith built, nickel/blue, I'm not this good! The second one I did build.

Rebel one, in rough finish. Planning on finishing it off (smoothing out the rough edges and bead blasting then adding a .45 slide) over the summer.

Tell me about it

dogcaller " Can you tell me about it?"

Caspian Frame and Slide Commander length .45cal (also has a 22 Conv. for it)
Slide was ordered bald with a ball cut, and Gemini Customs flat topped and snake skinned the
top, and cocking serrations.

Novak Low mounts
Nowlin Barrel (EGW re-did the ramp, and barrel bed, they were out of spec and had to be welded.) Now it feeds anything
All small parts are Ed Brown

Grips are an old pair of generic walnuts that I bobbed until I could order or make some new ones.

I Bob-tailed the frame as well as fitted all the parts. The only thing left to do is bead blast for an even finish.

It shoots more accurately than I can. It was originally built for my wife, but since her arthritis has caused joint replacement in both thumbs, I traded her for the 38 Super Commander I built for myself, and will re-barrel it for 9mm as soon as my Bar-Sto comes in. She also perfers standard serrations over the snakeskin.

Here an in process view of the 38 Super Commander along with its brother the Super CCO (also has a fitted 9mm barrel both are Bar-Sto)

They're all Caspian. I've also built one of the Recon kits, and it came out great, just don't have any pictures handy.

The way I see it. If it isn't a Colt, it better be a Caspian.

Top one is a 5" built by EGW with some custom tuning by Michael Bay.
Bottom one is a Yost built Ti. Commander. Both are sporting linen micarta grips.

Well, it's not a full-on Caspian but it was built using a Caspian slide.
