slide serrations(Caspian style?)

Hey ya'll.I would've figured with all the Caspian fans there would be more traffic here.

What do you think."Caspian" style slide serrations or "Classic" serrations? Both look good.Any difference other then cosmetic?I'm kinda leaning towards the "Classic" for my custom carry gun.Can you get Caspian slides without any slide serrations?Gary?

I think there is so little traffic because there is so little wrong with the product. What else can you say about a great product, great customer service. I have been using caspian products since the mid-80s with no complaints.
Personally I like the colt or the springfield serrations, but I think I have a little of everything on various guns. I believe you can get no serrations on the slide and have your smith cut anything you want.

I have Caspian style front and rear serrations on all my guns. 'Cept for that darn Colt that got slipped in the collection when I was young and stupid. Granted I use STI slides, but I think the Caspian look the best and allow me the best grip when clearing a jam. I cut thin strips of skate tape and put them in the serrations. And I am also a freak for thinking front and rear serrations also look good, or so they tell me.

I'v built several Caspian guns both classic cut and the wider Caspian cut serrations. I perfer the Caspian cut because you don't have to grip the slide so hard, your fingers won't slip off like the classic cut, if you use a 22lbs recoil spring you want the wider cut.
My 2 cents.

Hi guys,

Caspian slide can be had with or without serrations or logos at no charge.
We made a slight change to our Caspian style serrations by shortening the distance between the flats. This still allows for easy gripping but looks a little nicer.

We'll try to come up with something new to talk about soon.

Gary
